Three Roundtables
Discussions around the Beirut Coastline
Threats, Challenges and Opportunities
In collaboration with Ifpo, Nahnoo and Hepia university (Faculty of Landscape, Engineering and Architecture of Geneva) are organizing a series of three roundtables about the Lebanese coastline. The aim is to group experts, researchers, students, public officers of the different concerned ministries all along with activists and representatives of local communities to intercross experiences, visions and expectations. A multi-scalar approach will be adopted. The first and the third roundtable will address case studies in detail in which speakers will reflect on tangible scenario and plan. Regarding the second one, the same will focus on greater environmental issues (pollution and natural reserves), on public stakeholder’s map (overlapping prerogatives and interrelation), and on potential texts law revision.
