9 am- 2pm – German Jordan University, German Lounge, Amman
Lecture in English and arabic
In the current global context, where energy and material resources are becoming limited and where construction (from the production of materials to the use of the ended product) has a strong impact on the environment, the concept of sustainable and « environmentally- friendly » architecture takes on its full meaning.
The event called « Sustainable Architecture Workshop : alternative solutions and local initiatives » has, as ultimate aim, to federate all the actors of architecture and construction in Jordan, who are sensitive to the concept of « sustainable architecture ». Whether they are autodidacts-builders, architects or academics who train the architects of the future. This workshop will be a place to share experiences, projects and lessons learned ; to rediscover constructive approaches from Jordanian traditions ; to discover new approaches and/or innovative techniques; etc. In this way, we will be able to carry out a global reflection together to think, propose and ultimately implement a new and optimal quality of life.
